NHS Innovations South West is one of nine regional Innovations hub set up from 2004 to champion the cause of healthcare innovation and to identify, develop and commercialise innovations and intellectual property created by NHS staff. NHS Innovations South West serves the South West to develop and take forward new innovative ideas – both products and services – to enhance healthcare delivery.
NHS Innovations South West is a not-for-profit making organisation, funded by the South West Strategic Health Authority and consists of Business Development Managers, and a network of Trust based Innovation Leaders who have a proven track record of turning great ideas into real products and services.

The Service We Provide
We provide free confidential advice from initial idea assessment through to intellectual property protection, market analysis, project feasibility, prototyping and financial appraisal. For ideas with commercial value, NHS Innovations South West will help to identify and broker agreements with commercial partners to create value for both the innovator and their Trust.
We achieve this through our network of business development managers and trust innovation leaders, and our partnership with industry.
