Who We Are
NHS Innovations South West has been set up to help NHS staff who have innovative ideas and inventions that will benefit and enhance patient care. It is our job to give impartial advice and assistance to Trusts and inventors regarding the development opportunities for those ideas. We are funded by the Department of Health & the DIUS, and we are part of a partnership between the NHS as a whole and PERA. PERA is an ex-government agency that works without seeking profit to encourage and facilitate innovation management and then commercially exploit the ideas that are generated.
