Peter Amy from Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust
Many congratulations to Peter Amy from Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust for winning the Innovator of the Quarter award for March 2009.
Peter is anaesthetic and surgical assistant; currently working In the Oral Surgery and ENT operating theatre at Salisbury District Hospital. Sharon Bury, SODP in Theatres at Salisbury nominated Peter for his dedication to solving a problem that could bring a change in managing difficult intubation patients and therefore lead to improve safety and care.
Mrs Maria Hassard, Chief Executive for NHS Innovations South West presented Peter with a framed certificate and a cheque for £500, and highlighted to the Trust Board that Peter is a very dedicated ‘serial’ innovator and currently has nine different solutions that are being developed with the support of the Trust Innovation Leader and the Hub for difficult intubation. Sharon Bury was presented with an iPod shuffle for nominating Peter.
