Medical Devices
Charcot Foot Diagnostic Device
A novel handheld device that enables the clinician to easily diagnose whether a patient has the symptoms of charcot foot.
Airway Laryngoscope Combination Device (ALCD)
The Airway Laryngoscope Combination Device is similar to a conventional laryngoscope but has airway/suction as well as fibre optic channels in the blade and a flexible tip. It will be used for maintaining airway and improving view of larynx in sedated patients with difficult airway features such as swelling in the mouth prior to and during laryngoscope assisted fibre optic intubation.
Bougies
We have recently taken on new exciting bougie projects, providing two very different solutions.
1. 2 Stage Bougie for changing from oral to nasal intubations.
2. Conical Bougie for nasal intubations.
Both solutions have been reviewed by Key Opinion Leaders which showed extremely positive results.
Difficult Airway Solutions
We also have further difficult airway solutions, including Tooth Friendly Laryngoscope, Tongue Blade, Rescue Mask and a Side Airway available for commercialisation.
Drain Tube Fixation Devices
We have two new designs of drain tube fixation devices that are at different stages of development, with both providing significant advantages over existing products.
Non-invasive Blood Pressure Monitor
We are looking for a company that is interested in collaborating on a patent protected project to develop a novel non-invasive automatic blood pressure monitor, using ideas generated in proof-of-concept studies. This monitor measures maximum (systolic) and minimum (diastolic) values of blood pressure using a novel principle to provide a more rapid and accurate measurement of diastolic pressure.
Orthotic Insole
An orthotic insole specifically designed to assist patients with Plantar Fasciitis.
Software
ITU Clinical Database
A fully PAS-integrated software solution whose core functionality captures and reports on the full ICNARC and CCMDS datasets. The system provides real-time bed management status, PAS integration, electronic whiteboard, pathology results feed, discharge summaries, document storage (including imaging) and predictive data validation.
Hospital @ Night Patient Handover System
A IT solution designed to support the safe and effective handover of patients to and from the Hospital at Night (H@N) Team, to enable day to day planning of patient care. This system was designed by users for users and the whole philosophy of the project was to implement and develop the system with user requirements and input at the forefront.
Online System for Clinical Audits (OSCA)
OSCA is a clinical audit management system designed to reduce the administration of audit, and enable NHS Trusts to quantify the impact of clinical audits.
