The Regional Innovation Fund for NHS South West is designed to help front line staff and NHS organisations to turn those innovative ideas into reality.
They do not necessarily have to be new ideas - they could be ideas or processes that are already in place but that could be improved significantly with additional investment. They could be ideas or processes that, if delivered at scale, could make a significant contribution to improving health and healthcare across NHS South West. They could be ideas that would be improved through the use of new technology. Whatever the idea, the South West Regional Innovation Fund could provide the financial support and the expertise to put your concept into practice.
The application process in this first call against the Regional Innovation Fund has been kept as simple as possible as we recognise that applicants have busy day jobs to do. Successful bids will have the opportunity to expand their ideas where necessary, and The South West Strategic Health Authority has partnered with the Young Foundation and NHS Innovations SW to help support applicants develop their ideas.
Those bids that can show how they will use the Regional Innovation Fund to contribute toward the delivery of the ambitions that sit by The Strategic Framework for Improving Health in the South West 2008/09 to 2010/11 will score highly, as will those bids that show the potential for delivering a significant impact on the improvement of quality and productivity.
But whatever your idea, we'd like to hear from you.
